It was the very first week of my stay when Syds suggested that I visit Harlingen. He gave me a Frisian book to travel with by Marga Claus, and off I went with a train that sunny Sunday. I got off it at the last station that was right on the coast, and what a beautiful view! All the boats were parked at their places, a lot of people walking, and you hear the word “promenade” everywhere! “Is that what people do?” I asked someone once.”Yes, people faire la promenade on Sundays, by the coast.”
